Thesis Binding Procedures

Electronic Theses and Dissertations Program

Cushing Library is excited to announce that beginning Fall 2021, it is launching an Electronic Theses and Dissertations Program as part of the library’s Digital Collections. The program will serve as a digital repository for graduate theses and dissertations. Participation in the program is optional.


About the Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETD) Program 

In support of the mission of Holy Names University, the primary goals of Cushing Library’s ETD Program are to: 

  • Increase awareness of and celebrate the scholarly and creative work of Holy Names University students 

  • Offer Holy Names University students with the opportunity to preserve their academic work  

  • Facilitate an open space for the Holy Names University research community 


Guidelines for Participation 

  • Any Holy Names University student may participate in the ETD Program 

  • Participating students have the option to submit a final approved thesis to the library in both a bound/print format and an electronic format. Both copies submitted to the library must be identical 

  • Participating students must review the Electronic Thesis Submission Requirements and complete the necessary submission steps

  • Participating students are welcome and encouraged to meet with a librarian to discuss the ETD Program requirements
